In times like these, courage is needed. The 2024 calendar introduces courageous and inspiring women from the present and past, from all around the world. Among them is the featured US civil rights activist Angela Davis, writers such as the Paris Communard André Léo, the feminist Marxist Rossana Rossanda, the 16th-century poet and feminist Louise Labé, the 20th-century avant-gardist Gertrude Stein, the Saudi Arabian filmmaker Haifaa Al Mansour, the Dada Baroness Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven, the actress and Brecht interpreter Gisela May, and the jazz singer Sarah Vaughan.
